Patient Information
The National Center For The Treatment Of Phobias, Anxiety And Depression has a complete staff of psychologists serving all residential and commercial customers in the Washington, D.C. area.
Location
The center is located at 2423 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. It is situated between 24th and 25th streets on Pennsylvania Avenue one block from Washington Circle towards Georgetown. By Metro: Take the blue or orange line to Foggy Bottom. When exiting the station, turn left and walk one block to Washington Circle. Go left and ¼ of the way around the circle and make another left onto Pennsylvania Avenue. The center is 1½ blocks down on the right-hand side, on the second floor.
Office Hours
The office is officially open between 9:30 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday. However, evening and weekend appointments may be available.
Voice Mail
The voice mail takes calls before 9:30 am and after 5 pm on weekdays and during weekends. When leaving a message, please be very specific, spell your name, and speak slowly. Please leave both home and work phone numbers. If you need a prescription refilled, leave all necessary information including your name, doctor’s name, pharmacy phone number, name of medication, strength of each pill, quantity, and the directions. The prescription will be called in by the end of the next business day. Generally, all messages will be answered within 24 hours.
Insurance
We ask that you settle your account with us and submit your insurance forms for your own reimbursement. Although we regard all insurance related issues as the responsibility of the insurance holder, we will assist you if requested.
If you have any questions about your insurance benefits, please contact your insurance company representative directly or talk with someone in your personnel office. We will gladly discuss any questions about insurance that may arise.
Appointments
Appointments can be made by calling the Center at (202) 363-3900 between 9:30 am and 5 pm. Please give the office manager your name and phone number and one of the medical doctors or therapists will call you back to arrange a mutually convenient time.
Fees and Payment
Fees are based on both the length of time and the type of services rendered. Your doctor or therapist will be happy to discuss his or her fees with you before you make an appointment. Because of the time involved, we do charge for all telephone consultations with you directly or about you with other professionals involved in your case, and for the preparation of forms and letters. We prefer that payments be made when services are rendered.
Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel your appointment or reschedule, we ask that you call at least 72 hours in advance. Because of the nature of our profession, we must bill you for all missed appointments and for those cancelled less than 72 hours in advance.
